East New York, Brooklyn.

Many thanks to ARTs East New York, especially Catherine MBali Green, Carlos, James, and Nick, for inviting me to share my art with the East New York community. I had good times here, meeting people, having deep discussions, and bring positivity and energy to the people living here.
I worked hard for five days on this mural. It represents a flow of elements and shapes moving in a direction, and a butterfly going on the opposite side. My idea was to suggest actions that people can do, struggling and fighting for a cause.
I included a feather to say that our future has yet to be written. The garden where this mural is painted is called « success garden » so my intention made sense to me.
Hopefully you’ll enjoy my painting as well as the people in the community.
Thank you East New York, you were good to me !
Last but not least, I would like to say thank you to my man Jason Minnis and his wife Sonya Minnis for all the help, the love, the hospitality and all knowledge of their neighboorhood they gave me.
Also thanks to Julien Mourlon who made the connection with Jason a few years ago !

Laid Back Radio Compilation

Since 2002, Laid Back connects creative minds from all over the world to help develop their art and get the word out. In every project, They involve their audience by documenting every step of the process and generate interaction.
For this compilation, they broadened their collaborative spirit even further and asked their community to make this project their own by funding it.
The CD you are holding is the result of their supporters joining forces to make this happen.
It was Pierre de Schaetzen who came up with the concept end of 2010 and we launched it early 2011 when I reworked the Laid Back logo for the cover. Over 25 musicians and producers (from 9 different countries)
Growing side by side over the years, we’re proud to hear how they raised the bar for what will be remembered as an important milestone in Laid Back’s evolution.
We hope you enjoyed this journey and the music we compiled for your listening pleasure.
